On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 9:30 am, the Laguna Irrigation District Board of Directors will open a Hearing and sit as a Board of Equalization to consider the 2025-2026 Assessment Rates. The Board will also hear Landowner requests for Assessment Rate changes to their parcels.

These Landowner rate requests are related to eligibility to receive surface water and will be considered by the Board. Requests for Rate Changes shall be made in writing and delivered to the Assessor, Terri Gill, by the start of the hearing. The District Office has rate change forms available for your convenience. A description of the Assessment Rate Classifications are as follows:

Assessments Rates

• Rate 1 Irrigated. Parcels under this rate are eligible to receive canal/surface water.
• Rate 2 Pump/Recharge. Parcels under this are generally served by a water well and not eligible/able to receive canal/surface water. These parcels receive the benefit of District recharge efforts to support water well(s) located on the parcel.
• Rate 3 Pasture/Undeveloped Land. Parcels under this rate are generally not farmed or grazed and have no domestic or irrigation water well.

Any other questions regarding Assessments can be asked of the Board at the time of the hearing.

The Board of Equalization shall close at the end of the hearing.
